my favorite book I would have to say is Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson. Why? Because I feel the writing and I feel the emotional distress in the book and it is very touching learning about how once free people like us were taken from their families and homes.
My genre is anywhere from historical fiction to fantasy.
I am currently reading Elsewhere for book clubs and so far it is amazing. It is Based on a young women who is named Elizabeth (or Liz even Lizzie). Her last memory was her standing at the mall waiting for her best friend Zooey. When she wakes up in her bed there is another women sleeping in bed. She suspects that this is a dream and becomes fond of the girl sleeping in the bunk also known as Thandi.She experiences pain and hunger while in her "Dream". She soon realizes she is dead by the gunshot hole in Thandi's head and stitches in her own. She soon learns to find she is not alone because she has found her deceased grandmother that she never knew about. She fully understands the cause of death and what happened was she was waiting for her Friend she was hit on her bike while crossing the street to the mall. At the acclimation she understands that on Elsewhere you age backwards and when you reach seven days old you are reborn back into the world. There are the observation decks set throughout Elsewhere and Liz tracks her families actions every waking minute. She later buys a scuba tank and a wet suit to make a dive that is off limits for a certain reason that Liz was not told. she later apologies and gets a new job working with animals.
